To empower students with global academic insights, the School of Foreign Studies hosted a specialized seminar for its Master of Translation student on September 26, 2025. The event, titled "The Anatomy of a Successful PhD Application," featured Dr. Jawairia Ahmad, an esteemed international researcher, who provided in-depth guidance for securing admission to competitive graduate programs around the world.

Held on September 26th in Wenbo Building, the seminar was chaired by Dr. Sarah Ashfaq. Dr. Ahmad, an award winning Research Associate, drew from her own distinguished academic journey to demystify the application process. She offered expert advice on crafting compelling personal statements and research proposals, which are crucial for a successful application.

Moving beyond a generic lecture, Dr. Ahmad provided hands-on, practical advice tailored to individual needs. She engaged in a case-by-case discussion with participants, offering customized feedback on their draft application essays. In a significant commitment to our students' professional development, Dr. Ahmad also announced she would provide free, continued guidance to all seminar participants for one full month, ensuring they can refine their applications with expert support.

This initiative underscores the School's dedication to advancing student education by connecting them with international experts, thereby opening doors to world-class academic opportunities and fostering their future careers.
